From the Southwest of France, the Magnolia is a big, beautiful tree, recognized by its shiny, resilient leaves, whose wax is known to have reflective and protective properties.

Klorane discovered that the protective wax on the magnolia leaves acts like the intercellular cement that hold together the hair cuticle. The wax of the Magnolia leaves are clinically shown to increase shine on the hair strand by 10%.⁽¹⁾
